Adopting English as a second Language

Nowadays, is common to see people trying to learn a language and in some cases they find it difficult.In most cases, English is the language that almost everybody has or wants to know. As a Halliday studied the acquisition of the language for children and he said that they learn it because of their social needs, emotions and to express ideas.Also, they call them:

Instrumental: to express needs.
regularity: to tell others what to do.
Interactional:to make contact with others.
Personal:to express feelings, opinions and individual identity.

What do you think is the relation between the blog theme and the Halliday theory?
